Recognition of native title
Aboriginal people from the Cabrogal tribe, lived in the Cabramatta are for more than 30,000 years. Cabramatta West is thought to be named from Aboriginal words meaning "fresh tasty water grub" and "a point or jutting out piece of land". Cabramatta now only has 2% of Aboriginal and Indigenous people living in its community.
Resource depletion
Cabramatta had no real natural resources, that have been depleted as such. But, Cabramatta around the 19th and 20th century used to be a constant flow of green and acres upon acres of land. Now, Cabramatta has developed and 97% of all the free acreage has been demolished and constructed into low economic value of high- rise buildings, two story apartments (usually above shop fronts), small Asian culture stores.
